Winner of nine Grand Slam tournaments and 165 tournaments around the world, Gary Player will play on Tuesday, April 2nd with two brazilians young talents, Rafael Becker and Daniel Stapff.
Player will also play the Pro-Am tournament with professionals and amateurs on Wednesday April 3rd.
Gary Player who is now 77 years old is a golf legend from South Africa. In 1965, at age 29, the Black Knight, as he is called, was the third golfer in history to win all four majors Grand Slam of Golf (U.S. Open, British Open, Masters and PGA Championship). Only four other golfers have conquered the same: Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Player has also won the Brazil Open twice in 1972 and 1974. Additionally, Player has won six Grand Slam tournaments in the Champions Tour Circuit, tournent that brings together the leading golfers in the world Who are older than 50 years.
The young Brazilian talents - Rafael Becker is from Sao Paulo, He is the first among the top 100 in the amateur world ranking and wants to become a professional golfer soon. Daniel Stapff, from Paraná, is one of the Brazilians who plays on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
